Kunal Sanghavi is the Program Manager of Genetic Counseling at The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine in Farmington, CT. He received a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery Degree from Terna Medical College at the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences in India and his MS in Genetic Counseling from Boston University. Kunal leads a variety of projects including the strategic growth of patient-centered translational research that integrates genetic counseling and ELSI expertise. Kunal has developed and implemented multiple translation research studies on precision medicine, population genomic testing (ELSI), telemedicine, genetic service delivery. In his previous roles, he has developed and led regional networks such as a regional consumer collaborative network of parents, caregivers, and families with genetic conditions and a regional telegenetics community of practice to improve genetic health outcomes. Kunal has engaged in clinical research at both Johns Hopkins and Beth Israel Deaconess and worked with public health officials on interdisciplinary training initiatives. Kunal continues to contribute on genetics and genomics counseling, education, and service delivery to different professional societies and international networks.
